After watching the videos, I feel compelled to call out a few tricks that should be pretty easy for you to learn, as you have the components for these totally dialed.

1. Double Leg Over. Set off your toe doing an in out dex and plant that leg, do an out in dex with the other leg and catch.

2. Pixie Mirage. Set off right foot, do an in-out dex, quick plant and do a mirage with the left leg ending on the right toe.

3. Pixie Butterfly. Set off right foot, do an in-out dex, tap foot down (or not) and with the right leg do an out in dex ending in left foot clipper on right side.

4. Blur. I can't emphasize how much my game changed when I committed myself to Blur. It led to Ripwalks and literally a hundred more tricks, at least. It was the single turning point in my skill set that made the most difference in my future game.

I really think that weaving a little more variety into your strings will help build-in a challenge that might motivate you to play more than once a week, or maybe spend more time visualizing.

All the best for 2012! I'll be watching!
Yeah I'm kinda disappointed in my level of variety, and add density. I mostly live off a dozen or so moves these days. I used to do blurs, haven't tried them in ages; similar story with with double legovers. I've never done pixies. I've been working on ducks, but not getting very far.

Fighting the war of aging attrition, within arbitrary time limits, isn't pretty. But this works for me.

I think increasing my goal would make kicking less about playing footbag, and more about meeting quota. A twice-weekly kicking schedule would be required, and being allowed two days a week off fam time just isn't going to happen right now. Maybe someday, when I'm really too old for that to make a difference.

I was hoping for a new baseline goal of 75 hours shredding. Maybe an added goal of 5 new tricks and getting back to your add/contact ratio goals along the way too? Let me know how I can help. ;-)

Also, it is better to fade away than to stop playing all together. Footbag has so many health benefits, and as an exercise it does not bore the mind, instead it beckons for more!
Keep it up!

Awesome. This is exactly how I feel -- footbag completely changed my life. I hope I'm still doing this when I'm 48. Props on 30 years. I'm almost halfway there..

Footbag is my salvation too. My meditation, my exercise and to some extent, my purpose. My vegetarianism is more like a religion for me, but playing Footbag is nothing short of spiritual for me. Too bad you can't sick the cops on the religious crazies, they sound annoying.

Thank you, Derrick, those of us whose lives were so much enhanced, focussed or actually saved by footbag, share a special kinship. Keep the faith, chicken man, God danced the day you were born!
